Be Well. Make Art.
Supporting well-being through creative expression.
One-to-One Art-Based Sessions
Be Well. Make Art. isn’t about achieving perfection or becoming a “skilled artist”—it’s about creating a safe space where you can express what words alone might not be able to convey. Art offers a powerful way to explore your emotions, reconnect with your creativity, and begin or continue the healing process. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, isolation, or the challenges that come with life's transitions, I’m here to walk alongside you, offering a compassionate and supportive environment for you to rediscover your well-being.
With nearly 20 years of experience working in art-based mental health support, I’ve seen how transformative the creative process can be. However, it’s important to note that while I have deep experience in this area, I am not an art therapist. Instead, I offer peer-based support based on my own lived experiences and the many people I’ve had the privilege of working with over the years. This allows me to offer a unique perspective and compassionate support grounded in authentic understanding.
If you’re hesitant to engage with art because you don’t feel “creative enough” or worry about being judged, please know that you are not alone—and you are absolutely not expected to be perfect. The purpose of our time together is to create a space where you can freely express yourself, without fear of judgment or expectations. I’ll meet you where you are, with care and understanding, to help you explore the emotional landscapes that might be difficult to articulate in words. My approach is always patient, gentle, and rooted in a deep respect for your unique journey.
When we meet for your free 30-minute in-person consultation, we’ll take time to discuss your needs and preferences, and review the different art-based support options available. Together, we’ll consider the factors that are most important to you—whether it’s the type of creative expression you’d like to explore, the timeline for our work together, or specific goals you’d like to achieve. I want to ensure that what we create is tailored to your needs and supports you in the most meaningful way possible.
Through art, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Rediscover joy through self-expression that nurtures your inner world.
Release emotions that may be difficult to put into words.
Build confidence as you tap into your creative abilities and reclaim your personal strength.
Feel supported in a compassionate, non-judgmental space, guided by someone who truly understands the healing process.
I look forward to meeting with you, hearing your story, and working together to create a meaningful, personalized experience that supports your emotional well-being and healing journey.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, isolation, or the challenges that come with life’s transitions, I’m here to guide you. Together, we’ll use creativity as a path to peace, helping you rebuild your confidence and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels safe and supportive.
You don’t need to be an “artist” to benefit—just an open heart and a desire to explore what’s inside. Together, let’s use the healing power of art to help you find, or rediscover the strength and joy that you deserve.

Testimonials
"Marcey encourages creative exploration, experimentation, and self-expression. Her approach of “let’s see what happens if…”, has created safe and positive spaces for people to try new things. Failure and imperfection are part of the creative process. She gently reassures participants that this is okay and celebrates the successes. She is compassionate, enthusiastic, and full of ideas for future things to make."
